Cargo vans

Hi, I'm an o/o in a straight truck but I like to drive a van at home as my personal vehicle. I had a 2000 dodge van 3500 15 passenger van with the 5.9l and really liked it but the roof leaked so I sold it. Now I'm looking to buy another one to replace my current f150. What do y'all recommend I buy? I liked my dodge a lot but it only got 12-14mpg. Is there a better engine option for the older dodges? Should I forget dodge and go ford or Chevy? A company I used to work for had a Chevy with the 4.8 and I think we got like 18mpg or so on the interstate. Whatever I buy will be the 12-15 passenger model, not the cargo van. No one bothers you in a passenger van like they do in a cargo van plus I want to keep 1 row in for if the family needs to ride with me. Mostly around town stuff so I'll buy something around 100,000 miles already on it. I will put less than 4000 miles on it a year.

Yeah, forget the Dodge. I have a Chevy I'll sell you. It has almost completed its break in period. It is a cargo van but has E-track on the wall for safely securing passengers. Make me an offer I can't refuse and the van is yours.

Yeah, mine is almost past the break-in period too I think. 441,712 miles. What's that, about 8,000 more of break in?

I started in a Dodge in 97 switched to a GMC in 2000, bought new Gmc in 03 and Now I'm in my first Ford, .... I miss my GMC.

I still have my 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 cargo van. I have mounted in it a sofa sleeper from a conversion van, so I can haul freight or family members. It's only got 224,000 miles. I'm not trucking much anymore and wife wants me to sell van.
