Cargo Van Stuff

I am trying to compile a list of links for options and accessories as they pertain to cargo vans.

Examples: sleepers, folding bunks, roof vents, power supplies, etc.

If anyone has those bookmarked in their computer I would appreciate your posting them in your reply.

If you do not have a link, even the name of the company and the products they carry would be greatly appreciated.

I will say thank you in advance for all of your assistance.

I hate the country, all those animals walking around un-cooked.

Lawrence,

Nice addition to the site.

How long has the Expedite Source web page been in existence?

I have been involved in a non-trucking related commitment since last November so I have been out of the loop.

I am reviewing the links from my previous research to make sure they are active.

Looking forward to seeing you again at Expo 2007.

Welcome back David. A few places I can recommend and you can google for their web sites are:

Adohen Supply, they sell Fantastic Vent and other R.V. supplies. They are located somewhere in northern Ohio. I have never been there or met them, but have done business with them on the phone and internet. Very nice and helpful people. Several years ago they had the best price on Fantastic Vents. After buying from them I would do it again even if they didn't offer the lowest price.

Hellroaring Technologies, they make and sell battery isolators. Not the cheapest by any means but in my opion the best. If you plunk down $300 plus for a pair of Optima Yellow Top batteries then you should charge and regulate them with the best isolator. E-mail or phone tech support direct from Montana, USA. Great people. Small company.

Optima Yellow Top batteries, again they cost more than conventional deep cycle batteries but in conjuntion with a quality battery isolator they last a long time. Well worth it in the long run.

J.C. Whitney Auto Parts Catalog, they also deal in van and R.V. specific parts. If you find an item there check other sources for better prices. They have stuff you didn't even know you wanted or needed.

Truck junk yards. I have stripped several Mack MH's of their sleeper wall panels, headliners and curtains for my van. The price is right and like J.C. Whitney they have stuff you didn't need or want. Bring your own tools and have your tetanus shot up to date. A word of caution, don't lift up any bunk mattresses. You never know what might be under there.

Also, Moot didn't mention it, but he has a great custom bunk for his van that he calls the Mootbed. Search for the thread on it.

Jeff, I replaced the Original MootBed with a new model, the MootBed HD.

While moving my daughter out of a highrise apartment I literally walked into a discarded sofa sleeper. It was partially blocking the door to the freight elevator. I tried pushing it out of the way with my foot, but it didn't budge. Because of the weight I suspected it to be a sofa sleeper. When I removed the seat cushions I saw a label that read KING KOIL DAVENBED. Wow! I knew I had something very special. This IS my lucky day. I opened it up and the mechanism was smooth and solid and the mattress support was all springs and steel wire. I reduced it to it's self supporting metal frame and took it home. I left behind all upholstered parts, wood parts and mattress.

With a name like DAVENBED I would guess it to have been made sometime in the 1950's. The quality is superior and the wire and spring mattress support is more firm than the 1970's era original MootBed platform.

I tried adding a picture but keep getting a script error message.
