can i still make a living

thinking about coming back to expediting tired of local jobs with low pay getting laid off all the time but can you still make good money in expediting with the things the way they are i love the straight trucks but would i be better off driving big trucks again thanks for any advice

I really, honestly wouldn't advise it right now...

All the researching of the archives here, can't make up for common sense....you've read the papers heard the talk....it's slow for most...Me? I'd wait for spring to see how things shake out....better to stay warm flippin burgers for the winter or something then sit a COLD parking lot for days on end...

From the perspective of a T/T team, right now is not a good time. After the holidays and the changes in the White House take place, then I would watch the forum to see if the chatter indicates that expedited freight has picked up.

Although we've been fairly busy, even we have a slow period which is beginning to start and runs through the beginning of the year. We have been discouraging those teams (T/Ts) that have inquired about leasing on with our carrier about making any moves at this time.
