We can see the Obama administration bankrupting the country on a parallel path to the one taken by Stockton. He and his liberal minions cry out that now would be the worst time to cut spending on entitlements and/or borrowing from China because the first sectors of public service to be affected would be police depts, fire depts. and teachers. Yet notice that even now he and the Democrats intend to inflict drastic cuts to our military while offering the false premise that more taxing of the rich will bring in badly need additional revenue. Maybe he should take a look at Stockton and what happened when they had to cut funds for law enforcement. There used to be a saying that "as California goes, so goes the nation"; when it comes to the economy it still may turn out to be true of Barack Hussein Obama gets re-elected to office.

California has done just fine going broke on its own. Any president will bail them out not just ob

That is true. I was shocked to find Birmingham, AL filed for bankruptcy. Think we are going to see more towns going broke as some still are wasting money and paying outrageous pensions.
Couple that with high unemployment and depressed real estate, it will be ugly in many towns.

I watched a special, on TV, about these cities going broke.
They keep blaming the city employees' unions, ref the pay/benefits.
This special was spot on on where the blame finger should point.
One CA. city, after they lost a lot of industry jobs, decided to borrow hundreds of millions of dollars to build a huge convention center, minor league baseball park and a yacht marina (the yacht marina cost $30,000 per slip- parking spot for a yacht- to build!!!
A large city in AL. borrowed hundreds of millions of dollars to build a fanciful water treatment plant. (21 elected officials and contractors have been convicted for crimes related to fraud over this project alone!).
NOT ONE TIME, during the special, did they mention the overwhelming costs to cities, counties, states- THE TAX PAYER- related to illegals and the welfare system in general!!
Politicians and the media are so very afraid to breach these two subjects!!
