Business Purchase

Currently looking into purchasing a business that is for sale in PA. 7 Trucks(24' Box), contracts, 48 state authority, office equipment and parts inventory included. Hauls general and expedited freight.

Any advice on how to estimate the the value of the contracts and the authority would be appreciated. Also, any thoughts on running this sort of operation and what the predictions and trends for the future are.

So for getting lots of negative feedback, but someone must be doing OK with all those trucks out there!

i have one c unit and drive it myself
right now things are slow and have been doing things i never dreamed
about to stay and keep going, something is wished i knowed in 95 one of hard year's for longer timers

one thing that is going to be hard to find is driver's who will take
care of the equipment and help keep it going, those driver's are
out there but will take time to find them

for the driver's before you let them take your truck out have them take you for a drive in there wheel's and look at the condition of
there wheel's, if they take care of there wheel's than i would
give them a chance

i have hread stories from owners who have more than one truck
people have left trucks all over the the place and they had
to go and get them
and others who have driver's that are part of the family and
when in town stay at the house as they visiting the family

there are 2 part's to this all money you can make if thing's
work out or all the money that you could lose
if things don't work out

main things is to find loyal hard working driver's for the fleet
of truck ,

also all records you will have to keep, for the driver's etc
and all reg you will have to know about
that's why i have only one truck and only one nightmare
