Well its that time of the year where the deer become even dumber than normal. Well i nailed one the other night. It was <<<key word a large doe thank god it was standing broadside in the road. I centered her it caused a lot of damage it destroyed my eaton vorad system front sensor but thankfully it only gave me a small crack in the hood less than an inch long. This is my 2nd deer in two years last one a cop stopped to see why on was on the side of the road. So I told her I hit a deer she then used her flashlight to look over my truck and said really I don’t see any blood. Hmmmmmmmmmmm it was a red truck. I got lucky on that one too all it did was put a crack in the bumper Volvo makes one heck of a bumper. So I told her to look at the crack and you can see the hair from the deer. She looked at me and in a very serious voice said “Sir are you sure it was a deer”. I couldn’t help myself I told her well it was either a deer or you are missing a midget. She didn’t see the humor in that. So she scanned the highway in her best CSI Maryland way and said “I don’t see any deer did you see where it went”. Again because I am an idiot I told her the last time I saw the deer it was about 25 feet in the air then I lost sight of it. Ok this cop has been watching to much tv “ Sir do you think you killed the deer”.” Well duh if it isn’t dead it will have one hell of a limp so it will be easy to find tomorrow” . I got in my truck and drove off. This truck is a Freightliner and it will cost me about $1300.00 to replace the bumper. So heads up everyone it’s the rut time of the year.
