Average miles per hour?

Does anyone have annual numbers on average miles per hour driven?
In other words, annual miles driven divided by number of hours driven per year?
Either paying miles, or both paying and deadhead?

Just curious...

we have averaged 57 mph on nearly all highway runs every time I check it. I use this figure to guestimate my ETA's. Considering we are slower on some runs, I would guess a 50 mph avg for the year. at 109,260 miles, we drove about 2185 hours during 2004

slightly above minimum wage...but we got to deduct our meals so it was worth it.

That's just about 2,000 miles a week . OTR freight drivers wouldn't consider that a lot . Many of them run over 3.500 solo . That's why so many drivers can't adjust to expediting . They can't stand waiting for a load even though it pays better

We average around 3500 miles per week at an average speed of 54 mph. We normally run with 63 mph as our top speed, to hold down the fuel costs.

We travel with 3 dogs so with pit stops every 2-3 hours, 54 avg is good.
