Wondering if those who have gone and got their own authority have any recommendations for a place to obtain it. Thinking of OOIDA. Any info would be helpful. Thnx.

I don't have my own authority, but I know OOIDA has been mentioned as a good place to get things rolling.

I got mine thru OOIDA. They did a good job at a decent price. If you have them get your individual permits (NM and NY), make sure you tell them your GVW, as I did not, and they assumed I had a t/t.

Same here. I used the FMCSA web site where you just answer all the questions and it tells you what you need to do. It wasn't that difficult.
