Tried to use my comdata fuel/atm card at the fuel island/casino at the Route 66 outside Albuquerque , ($300.00) , recieved message, system down blah, blah, blah your account won't be debited, WRONG, took my $$$. Of course found this out next day down the road. Call Comdata, "we'll investigate". Today, one month later, "we found this to be a valid transaction so **** off". Can we really be at their mercey on crap like this. Anyone else expierence anything similiar and did you have a sucessful resolution. Thx

Every time I swipe my card for fuel, it says something along the lines of "Approved - Begin Fueling". If there's every been a problem, the pump don't work in the first place. I've never had it tell me "Approved", then give me fuel, then go, "Whoops."

Every time I've used the card at an ATM machine, it's given me a receipt that accurately represented the transaction, including both giving me money and "system down". Never had a discrepancy, but if I did the receipt with the transaction number printed on it should cover it.

I found out years ago after loosing 200 bucks at an atm that if you get some kind of error message call comdata right away, do it standing beside the machine and don't let anyone try using the machine, it the transaction did go thru call the police immediately and have them come to you and make a report, then call the # located on the machine and tell them to get someone to the location, they can then audit the transactions, and count the money and see that you didn't receive you money, you might have to yell loud and long but if you leave and allow the bank to "look" into it you are basically screwed.

Never had it happen at an ATM at a truck stop but did have it happen at Walmarts self-check isle and their ATM machine. Used my debit card and took the cashback option of 100.00 when paying. The machine only gave me 60.00 back. The cashier opened the machine and gave me my other 40.00 it was stuck inside the machine. Another time (just recently) at Wally world I took 200.00 from the ATM, the machine gave me 100.00 and then again the other 100.00 was stuck in the machine. The manager had to open the machine to retreive the other 100.00. This was just a couple weeks ago when this happened. So it could be the machine did give you the money only it was stuck inside the machine. Means someone got some free money.
