The ATA has dropped the ball in the Ohio State Truck Driving Championship. I have been planning to drive in this over 6 months now and I get a Call from FedEx telling me that they will only let 1 driver from each class drive in the Truck Driving Championship for Each Company. FedEx Custom Critical is not to happy about this either. There Saying that 230 driver's was to many to Drive in the Show. So there Cutting back on the driver's.

They Don't even have a class for Expediters. I think I'm going try to find a way that all the Expediter Compaines can have there own Truck Driving Championship. As far as the ATA I think they really let down a lot of driver's this year.

Dave, are you saying the A.T.A. only will allow 1 driver per class for all of the FedEx companies. Or 1 driver per class for FECC?

There is a straight truck class. You don't have to enter the class for the specific truck you drive. In Minnesota I was in the 5 axle flatbed class even though I was driving a 3 axle city tractor/trailer on the job.

yep, one driver from fedEx for each class. FedEx wanted to Put me in the 2 Axle Class (which is a 6 wheeler Box truck) and then they was told that could only have one driver for each class. So FedEx said Okay we want to put him in the 3 axle Class (which is a 10 wheeler box truck). Then the ATA tells FedEx that I can't do that because I don't have a Class A CDL. Since when do you need a class A CDL to Drive a 3 axle box Truck.

I was asked to do this many months ago by FedEx and paid Out things to go to this event and the ATA pulls this. This is wrong and the ATA knows that. I guess us Folks driving Expedite Trucks Don't matter to the ATA.
