Anyone seen (or heard of)...

A COE (maybe even a new Argosy) with a condo?
I like the idea of the (virtually) flat floor Argosy, then the condo, because of the ability for a huge condo or more freight.

I was thinking of an Argosy day cab, then condo. The only issue I see is the tight fit between rear of cab and front of condo? The flipping of the cab for service would require the condo to be set back further.

Anyone seen any solutions to this? Has it (is it) done. I haven't personally seen it.

There is a post in the archives not too long ago that discussed Argosy and Cab Overs. MikeCop who post on EO has a ex JB Hunt tractor with a box on it.I have also seen a Landtar EA clas 8 Cabover with a 26 foot box.

Back in 1984 I built a KW Aerodyne with a 120 inch sleeper behind it. It worked well and with the Argosy flat floor would be pretty cool as you would have the biggest and best of all worlds. You could easily have a 144 inch sleeper and 22 foot box and still be under the 40 foot nonsense length law! I think ICT in LaGrange Indiana has done one already. They would be a great resource for info as they have no problem tackling odd set-ups like this one. Good luck and please keep us posted how this works for you. I know used Argosy Cab overs are pretty cheap on the resale market, as it never really took off. Great idea just 20 plus years to late.

Hey Glen:

Was there no issue with clearance and flipping up the cab for service?? The cab binding with the sleeper. How much clearance needed.

Anyone have (or know of) photos of such units.
