I was interested in some real world experience with the Ford V10 engine for use with E350s and expediting.

It consumes more fuel to make the least amount of power than any other modern engine I can think of.

The company I used to run for bought a few of them for local trucks. I took a couple loads in the fords when my truck was down. The power was decent, the mileage was not good, and the ride was decent.
I was talking to one of the dispatchers who still work there and he was telling me that they are having transmission issues with them.
Now this was in the e650s with a 24ft box, if you are taking one of the smaller trucks, that engine is kind of overkill for it, unless you are towing something behind it.

They're only suited for RV use IMHO
You'll get an easy million miles out of one in an E350 I know a couple with them. Of course, you need to, because the fuel will cost enough to buy a couple more vans

Yessir, believe it or not. At least when used for expedite. And I think they achieve about 15 mpg at 60 on the hwy
That's not what I experienced when I had mine.
I know the one e350 that I drove that had the v10, even know it was dual wheels, could still light them up..... no lack of power that for sure.

Compared to the GM 6 liter LS engine, the Ford V10 felt like a slug. In my opinion.

Thanks for the info! I have heard a lot of good things about the V10 for towing, but not much from expediters.
Are you serious? I'm getting 12.4 mpg in my straight truck. That is a sure way to go under.
