I signed on withAn express company 3 weeks ago as an o.o. (cargo van) I have only gotten one local load,
is anybody getting loads in cargo vans?
thanks
Did some checking and the answer is YES! Time for you to talk to dispatch. Are you relocating to the freight lanes of your company or are you waiting at home for the load to come to you?
You need to locate yourself where the freight is. If you are doing that and only recieving one load for three weeks out, I would look for another company before you go broke.

If you're near Detroit & aren't getting any action, ya may want to look into another company. We're hitting the busy season here & there's no reason why you should be sitting.
I'm in a cargo van, and I'm moving right along. Had four loads last week, three into Canada. I'd be making some phone calls to dispatch or start looking for another company to contract with.
HI
I'D GIVE IT MORE TIME.
THREE WEEKS JUST ISN'T ENOUGH TIME WITH A COMPANY TO REALLY DECIDE.
ALSO BEFORE YOU MAKE THE CHANGE CHECK TO SEE HOW MUCH IT IS GOING TO COST YOU.
COMPANIES CHARGE FOR DECALS, QC INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL.
SWITCHED COMPANIES LAST YEAR FROM A MID SIZE COMPANY TO ONE OF THE LARGER ONES . IT SEEMED TO TAKE AWHILE TO GET INTO THE GROOVE AND TO ESTABLISH MYSELF.DON'T BE AFRAID TO CALL YOUR COMPANY AND ASK WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.
SOME COMPANIES HAVE DIFFERENT SLOW TIMES IN DIFFERENT AREAS. LAST WEEK I DID ONE LOAD TO INDY AND ENDED UP BOUNCING HOME 2 DAYS LATER.
INDY IS USUALLY A HOT AREA AND UP UNTIL LAST WEEK SO WAS MY HOME BASE
GOOD LUCK
