WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance.

Of course this insane idea would be laughed out of the halls of Congress if it was ever brought up there, but the very fact that the Obama cabinet would even consider such a proposal shows the radically liberal, anti-military mindset that permeates the mindset of this goofy bunch. An argument could be made that maybe this is just part of the ploy to force govt. insurance down everybody's throats, but that would be a tangential issue at best. Let me again remind everyone of the campaign speech Obama made to the Caucus 4 Priorities promising to among other things, end wasteful military spending. One of the ways he can weaken our military without even trying is to continue to come up with this kind of cr*p and the troop morale and reinlistment rates will drop like a stone. Keep in mind that these kinds of things can be slipped into monster spending bills that no one reads, and the public doesn't find out until after the fact weeks or months later. Still, the fact that they would even remotely consider such a slap in the face of our wounded soldiers is disgraceful - but the public wanted "CHANGE", so there you are.
