Annual Perseid meteor shower tonight

Tonight and tomorrow night is the annual Perseid meteor shower. Probably expediters are the most likely to see these since we are usually driving at night.

Ha, I was driving last night and I saw a few 'falling stars'. Now I know why.

If it's half as cool as the Leonid shower I saw years ago [freezing my arse off, lying on the deck behind the house at 0300

] it's worth staying up for!

We went to the beach down here in FL last night to watch. You were able to catch a few here and there and some big flashes as well, but the mosquitos were so bad we retreated back to the house. This actually started back in July, but now it is more visible because we are closer to them. Last Thursday while I was driving I noticed a lot of them.
