Sorry to hear that. I remember him as a child, I guess I thought he was gone a few years ago.

Another one gone but alas.....

Since his departure from CBS and his support of fellow news guru Dan Rather, his impact and relativity on our lives has diminished greatly to the point that we are all saying "thought he died long ago".

It is odd though, the two really people who impacted the entire Vietnam era, Cronkite and McNamara both die within a couple weeks of each other.
