Faith in one's family or in one's own abilities is not blind faith. It is a faith based on sound reasoning and history. I don't want to bash the believers, but a blind faith in God is a faith based on what you've been told to believe and it reinforced by illusory corollaries and convenient mantra which is also based on blind faith and illusory corollaries. Placing the same blind faith in Obama is just as silly as placing blind faith in God (there ya go, I've done it now).

It might interest you to know that I'm a devout agnostic (with strong atheistic tendencies. )
