Black electrical tape over the light works well!!! At least it doesn't bug ya...
Seriuosly though I think a short or a sensor may have triggered it on..next dealer service he can take a code reading and clear the fault.

The kid's 2006 has had an issue with the SRS light being on for quite awhile now - had it into the dealer and they weren't able to fix it (or just didn't for some reason)
No problems with ours - and I've even had the passenger side of dash where the bag is apart (to run some wiring) :+
