Loans to start a business, No federal tax to pay for 7 years, and then they turn it over to a family member and its 7 more years NO TAXES PAID, but if we need something we cannot get it because our credit Score is either two low or our credit report doesn't surfice the critiera to get the credit, House, Car, a credit card, or anything else. because were citizens!!!!!!!.
E. Lets say were on SS now, and that is all we have,
We go to the grocery store, buy generic, off brand, or what ever is the least expensive. Cause this is all we can afford to make our checks stretch. but the "illegal Aliens" buy the name brands in all the store. because they get the money from the government free!!!!!

Here I am trying to become a legal resident and paying all the fees and jumping thru hoops to be legal (2 years now) and these people get a free ride!!
Why do I bother? I should just be illegal? At 56 I am worried to get my 43 quarters in to collect SS and be eligible for medicaid.
I am too old to start a fund that will pay anything significant...as in an IRA or 401k.
Does this mean if I become an illegal I'd be able to collect? or is this just Mexicans? Wouldn't that be a case for race discrimination?
All said and done I WILL become legal soon and I will vote for anyone who will repeal these crazy laws!!! My vote WILL count!!!

Social Security has two problems, one is accountability within the system and the other is Medicaid. No matter what anyone says, the Medicaid funding is hidden within the SS budget and grows faster than any other service.

With all the cr*p added onto the Medicaid budget and the new changed in Medicare, we have a big problem that revenue generation will not be able to catch up to the revenue needed to sustain the system.

The solution is to start moving to a system that would force people to make decisions on their own which also means the idea of choice is put into the system for the first time and also start find a way to limit Medicaid to citizens only or at least get some accountability into the system.

Invaders have been getting SS benefits for a long time. A large number of legal immigrants also get on welfare when they hit our shores; I worked at a company that provided assistance for this. Why should we give a dime? What is the purpose of assisting people coming over here, they should be prepared for assimilation into our culture and welfare does not allow that.

If this sounds bad, well if comes down to the need true immigration reform, I would love to see the Australianâ€™s immigration policies put in place in our country. They have proven that a fair immmigration policy that puts the country first works.

A long time ago I went to a number of classes to learn about the federal budget and how it is put together to qualify for a government job.

In these classes I saw the complexity of the federal budget and how people can get money for these programs so easily that is just mind boggling. The tax system really needed to be changed for all of us. It is used to control people (citizens), not for produce revenue which this comment came from the instructor of the tax revenue part of the classes who was a former sub-director of the IRS during the Reagan years. He also said that the welfare system has evolved to control the masses to the point of keeping a divide between poor and middle class people and this was an idea that was borne out of Johnsonâ€™s Great Society program which could be changed by giving the people the tools to move off of welfare â€“ tax reform is the first real step.

I was for a big change in the tax system but I could not really consider what would help all of us. Looked at all the proposed changes that were touched on in the tax classes and they were just as complex.

It wasn't until I read about the FairTax that I was convinced that a change to the FairTax was better than what we have today. Remember that our tax system is unique and truly been an experiment, so any changes would not cuase the country to stop working.

But before anyone counters my comments or says it will not work, I recommend getting and reading the FairTax book or at least go to the FairTax.com site and reading about it. By the way I heard but have not confirmed the FairTax concept has been used to replace a former communist tax system in a few eastern European countries.

What floors me is the argument that I have had with a couple accountants who defended the system we have now, not all accountants are the brightest stars in the sky.

Duh! of course every accountant will defend the tax system because this is how they make a living. The sad thing is many accountants don't know as much as I have forgotten about how our messed up system works.

Now you ask; what does this have to do with SS? A lot!

The system we have now has to tax us four times on a dollar. Our effective tax for each dollar right now (will go up next year with the dems) is somewhere around 38Â¢ for the average person, this includes everything. With the need to save SS, we will see that rise to European levels of 48Â¢ or maybe 55Â¢ per dollar. Now this is with all the taxes rolled in to one. (Note: the numbers may not be spot on but they are close.)

If we eliminate the present tax system and fund everything through a simplified system like the FairTax, the revenue would naturally go up, jobs may be created at a great rate and the need to save anything like SS would go away.

My main sponsor is my wife but we had to get a 2nd sponsor to guarantee to support me for 5 yrs. if I didn't work. I had to sign-off from collecting any gov. handouts for 5 years!
It is a temperary permit for 2 yrs to prevent marriage fraud and then I apply for permanent status.
Wish my name was Pedro or Juan !!!
