Reading at one of the sites I wander through, and came across this statement:

NOTE: Effective December 29, 1991, the FMCSA Administrator determined that the new Licencia Federal de Conductor issued by the United Mexican States is recognized as proof of medical fitness to drive a CMV.

I am just curious if anyone else has heard of the United Mexican States? I suppose Canada will be known as United Canadian States. I'm thinking all the new rules and regulations coming out within the next 3 years, that for alot of current drivers your job may very well be on the chopping block. The 2010 rulings will include all past violations on your license up to and including the past 4 years, you know the ticket you got for speeding to Blockbusters to return your dvd's, etc, all the tickets if any in your private vehicle are attached to your CMV. This coupled with the medical rulings that are in the works, if your BMI is 30 or higher, you will be required to do a sleep apena test, if you have any hint of something really serious, your finished.

So now all the able bodied ( at least in mind, perhaps) honest, hardworking American's are now really out of work. The trucking industry is at a complete STOP. Enter the driver's and their trucks from south of the border. I don't have a problem with Mexican's driving up here
but, they have to have the same set of rules we do. If speaking and understanding and writing the English language is difficult then go learn it. If your CMV fails an inspection then repair it. You want to work up here, then work.

I'm just thinking out loud, wondering if anyone else has thought these thoughts...
Don't mind a lively discussion but, if all your going to do is add some mindless BS, because your after some milestone posting number, remember everyone is intelligent until they open their mouths.
