2012 Hino 268 Transmission

Hi Guys,

The check A/T light came on last week while driving the truck on Friday. We did take the truck in to the dealer and the dealer is advising that it needs a new tranny. The code code that shows up when we connected the Allison Software is P0741. We did clear the code. The truck drives fine for 10-15mins until the message returns. The truck has the Allison transmission.

P0741 indicates a slipping torque converter clutch.

Replacing the transmission is a viable repair. You might get lucky with just a torque converter, but without a lot of testing you won't know if the torque converter is at fault, or if the fault is in the transmission.

I jus replaced my transmission and its giving me same issues.. any I dea how to solve this..

The Allison TCMs are failure prone, but it's also common to get water in the junction box behind the air filter. The CAN wires get water on them and it interferes with communication between the TCM and the rest of the truck
