10 money wasters

11: not reading labels.

Yesterday, I picked up some of the only pain reliever that works for my headaches, a combination of acetominophen, aspirin, and caffeine that used to be trademarked as Excedrin. It's labeled as Headache Relief [Equate brand @ Walmart], costs $4.00 for 200.
I noticed a box next to it marked Equate Migraine Relief, 200 tablets for $9 & change. Curious, I read the ingredients, and surprise! Exactly the same as Headache Relief, for more than twice as much money.
Best [or worst] of all was the name brand Excedrin: same ingredients, for $15 & change.
Unreal.
