    need advice on tweener truck

Well for one thing, you will not really be a "C" unit so i don't see any company paying you C rate. However I can see them expecting you to carry C freight. The second thing is your empty weight. Even with a GVW of 12,500# you wont be able to carry much more then 3000# I know that logging...

    wheel bearings Savana/chevy express

fastman_1 When you say assembly, are you talking about the wheel bearing assembly, or the hub assembly? My 2006 3500 requires that the entire hub asembly be changed.

    wheel bearings Savana/chevy express

You better get to a good mechanic that you trust and fast. If it is a late model express van you might want to stop at the bank first. You can not replace the wheel bearing, you must replace the entire hub assembly

Okay, I'll try to answer the best I can with the info given. If the paint is flammable and packaged in less than 119 gal containers the placard you use is a (flammable 3). If the paint is flammable and packaged in bulk containers you must use a number (1263) placard. If the paint is...

Moose, you did not give us enough info to tell what plaquards to use. Is the paint flammable? How is it packaged? What type batteries are you hauling? They could be corrosive or dangerous when wet.

    A sign of success

A couple years ago, Landstar let a driver bring on a Fun Mover as a cargo van. You know the RV's with space in the rear to haul your ATV or Motor Cycle. I met the Man and his Wife in Florida and they were two of the nicest people you ever wanted to meet. Problem was they could only haul 900#...

    Ford/GM/gas/diesel

I'll stick with my gas. I don't have to worry about fuel problems in the winter. I will not be carrying around the extra weight. I can get it repaired just about anyplace. It's less to purchase and much less to get repaired. And the idle laws, at least in some places only apply to diesels...

    Ford/GM/gas/diesel

Any Ford with duel rear wheels or anything larger than a Chevy 3500 DRW with a 10M GVW will make you a Commercial Vehicle. Do you really want that?

    crossroads ford memphis tn

Would be nice to have a thread where we could post all the good places to get service done. I also had a good experience this week in Columbus, Oh. Had some work done by a Chevy dealer and it disabled my remote starter. I took it back where I had the remote installed over two years...

    A sign of success

It takes two very special people. The teams that I know best, stay out for 3 to 4 weeks then one of them goes home for a week or so. Then switch around so they both get some time apart. At least the wife and husband teams know each other before they go out with each other. What I don't...

    A sign of success

Comfort is one of the more important things, not the most for some but right up there. The ability to rest without needing to make up the bed and being able to stand up without getting out of the van is priceless.

    Sprinter Tires

Thanks Turtle, I did ask the wingfoot dealer in Columbus about it several months ago and he wasn't sold on the idea. I'm begining to think that he just didn't offer it and didn't care. I'll look around this weekend to see if I can find a dealer in Columbus. Thanks again. Late4dinner
