They say that if you cook bacon in the oven that to get the best results you should put the bacon in the oven and then turn the oven on. It's supposed to give you better results when wanting ummmmmm crisp bacon

Okay just to give an accurate report, I cooked Two pounds and ate my normal two sandwiches. Step one: loaded eight slices onto tray one and tray two, placed tray one in the microwave set timer for five minutes, added one and half minutes when timer went off, put the toast in the toaster...

I don't know lay 8 to 10 slices on each tray, cover with a paper towel. stick one tray in seven minutes later crisp bacon. Insert next tray, load first tray sit back and eat first sandwich.

Nope had one, the one I linked to is the best I have been able to find. Besides you would break my CRISP morsels of goodness when you pulled out the skewers.:eek:

This is how I cook the bacon ummm bacon. I have two of these trays. microwave bacon tray - Google Product Search Takes about 6 or 7 minutes. so two pounds takes 30/40 minutes and no mess. Turtle I'm disappointed that you did not post a link to the ummmmm bacon.:D

Pelicn, my BLT oder goes like this. "Two BLT's without the L and the T. With mayo."

I have two problems with your post Linda, first is what in the world could possible be wrong with smelling bacon for days? Second and equally important is why would anyone EVER only cook one pound of bacon. You never need an excuse/reason to either add garlic or to cook and eat bacon.

Political correctness run amok. I read the article and it was rather lame, but lets face it, it is geared for truck drivers who I think are not generally offended by such mild language. Would you rather it become a magazine for families? Would you like there to be a section of children's...

While we all know that it is best for BOTH parentsbe home during the first 18 years, there are some who went into trucking with a 14 year old daughter at home (not me).

Got them! Can't sleep going down the road with out them. I can still hear some of the rattles though or it could be my imagination. Are you sure that the rattles are not coming from within? ;)

About anything you can do in a crock pot you can do in a burton stove. Have the wife make up stuff while your out and throw in the cooler. Great way to have homemade stuff when not at home.
