Being an O/O leased on with L1 I think this is a VERY smart move. I think it's a win win for all parties involved. Seems to me the only nay sayers are the ones that don't even have a dog in the fight.

At 60 mph I get 12 mpg in my M2. Push it up to 65 and it drops to close to 11 mpg. Have never had the need to go over 65.

Unless the dog is old and arthritic it should be able to get in and out on its own. If it can't I would think a 2x12 with something non-slip placed on it would work maybe 4-5 foot in length placed on the top step.

As a former team in a van the big question is what company are you going to lease onto? This is important as some give the long loads to all vanners no matter as a team or not. Others "reward" teams with all of the long loads. Makes a huge difference as to your potential income.

I insulated with "reflectix" on the walls and the ceiling. Then I partitioned off with blankets hanging from the ceiling right behind the front seats and about 4 foot back. Its a lot easier to heat as small of an area as possible. Used to heat with a Mr. Buddy (smaller version of the big buddy)...

When asked about expediting the first question I ask of them is "do you have any children at home?" If the answer is yes I tell them flip burgers and clean toilets before hitting the road. Sorry about your misfortunes but I believe everything happens for a reason. Enjoy your kids while you can.
