Cool so now your saying it takes 450 hp to keep up with a 260 hp Hino on hills that about sums it all up now don’t it?

Sorry didn’t mean to imply you never drove a truck just that it seams from what you have said that you have not drove the Hino your self all your input has been from your drivers and not personal experience? Alvin

    Hino resale values

I own a 2006 with 75k on it and its doing great only thing I see as a problem is the bunk and box holding up the quality on the Hino is top notch. And if you do some research when these things was cab-over around town trucks the norm was 1 million plus, so what do you think the over the road is...

    Hino Truck

Oh yeah batteries your right there, yupp didn’t even give the stock 2 a chance went out and got 3 new truck batteries for my truck before hitting the road because Hino is new to the over the road idea and I’m sure 2 little car batteries are fine with a local truck with out a sleeper but...

Not from what I’m told it don’t you order the gear swap its called right from the people that build the truck they ship it do your dealer pay 1hr and you pay 1hr labor to have the new ones put in has to be done by a dealer though. And think they are only allowing it on the expedite trucks...

    Hino Trucks and hills

On the same note just because it’s new and you don’t know any thing about it why knock it? And bragging about a truck with 500hp loosing a injector and not noticing it is hardly a task for a truck with what 2,000 lbs in the box? Still most likely have like 416 hp left that’s what 2/3’s...

Stress? Who you think build that engine Tonka? Hp has nothing to do with the stress an engine can take although might have a bit to do with how well ya go down the road with the load! As a Hino owner I don’t think for most loads she’s going to notice the extra weight and on the ones she...

55 if they have the allison is the sweet spot in the rpm range I rarely go below that but if speed limit is higher I'd rather go up @ 65 :) (yeah even at max weight - fule used)

You must have the standard my hino has a Allison and its geared way lower than that but it does good on the hills run once with a person with same setup as mine but had the gear swap to higher gears and on mt eagle she blew me away and with about 2 mpg better to boot. On the auto at least with...
