Should i buy a used or new sprinter van?

Vans have doubled in price, rates are about the worst I have ever seen, and fuel is highest it's ever been continuously. Let's Go Brandon!

    Larger Sprinters?

Absolutely not trying to diss you, just facts, but you have not been doing this long if you think like that. These :censoredsign: brokers are everywhere, on all boards, not hard to spot, but in expediting you cannot afford to burn any bridges, you have to work with them sometimes. It's easy if you have...

    Box Truck Load Boards

Are you a dispatching company as your name "MMC Dispatch" suggests? I hope you are not hiring people to drive for you if you can't find steady loads, that would be bad and contributing to the low rates issue. I keep seeing questions like this way too frequently, not just here but all over the...

    Larger Sprinters?

There are sprinters that can take 4 pallets that are 40x48, but most people will not do it as it takes every inch of their van. Brokers will post 4 pallets for a sprinter, but they really need a small straight and they know this. But they want the small straight at sprinter rates. They do the...

Does Renting a cargo Van qualify me as an O/O ?

How did you get the loads that you booked? I mean how did you book them? To book a load you need to have an MC, which you can't have if you are renting short term...I'm just really confused.

    What’s up with true team

Keep in mind that these decisions are often made by people who have never driven commercially. They take options from several brokers without having a real idea of what the laws are, how often you have to stop to fuel, eat, bathroom, etc. Best thing to do is just stick to your guns when you...

    2 weeks notice?

Honestly, take this exact question and ask the carrier directly, they will appreciate that more than you know.

Should i buy a used or new sprinter van?

Right now is not the best time to start, but if you must, always try to buy the biggest and newest van you can.

    What’s up with true team

Not sure what your actual question is but I'll try to shed some light on this as I understand it. There are very few teams out there, and most are couples, and in most cases they are slower than solos because only 1 person drives anyways but two people need to stop for food and bathroom etc, of...

New Sprinter van, new authority, where do I find loads?

Andrew, at that point just buy a box truck, really just not worth it. 360ccf, if you're relying on DAT alone I feel bad for you, very rarely does an expedited load show up on DAT, there are partials sometimes that will fit, but you are very likely to run into issues, such as the shipper or...

    Expediting in Texas

The trucking business is just so expensive with fees coming at you from all sides, if you are not driving "enough" it is just not worth it. Even in Cargo/Sprinter vans, if you don't keep moving you just will not make money.

    Expediting in Texas

The more you are restricted the less income you will generate is the basic rule of thumb. In my experience, the guys that try to go home every weekend make significantly less than the others.

Box Truck Business (looking for advice)

Check the laws for your state, INTRAstate in some states does not require any logbook/HOS for straight trucks.

New Sprinter van, new authority, where do I find loads?

Your best bet is to go drive for someone else for at least 1 year.
