Seeking Info on working for myself

Thanks for the info. I contacted the manufacturer of the truck and they told me the cargo capacity would be 3000 LBS. I can adjust it down to a 2000 LBS load if I need to. Like I said I'm going to be running on my own authority and picking my own loads. I am going to start with this size truck...

Seeking Info on working for myself

Thanks! The weight factor I got from the manufacturer of the truck. it is what they said the cargo capacity would be. As far as the experience, I have been a local courier I/C and didn;t really care for that, but I did enjoy some of the longer trips that I got with small loads, so that's where I...

    Info on a van sleeper

I checked the archives, but did not see anything that matched. I am interested to know if anyone has had any experience in building a sleeper in a cargo van. I am going to get the longest van I can, but do not know how much to allow for sleeper space. What would be the minimum amount of cargo...

    Box trucks

I tried to post this yesterday, but it never showed up on the forum, so I am going to try again. Can one of the recruiters tell me if there are any national companies that allow Isuzu type box trucks to be used in OTR expediting. I know that there is no sleeper in them and that seems to be a...

    Hydraulic Brakes

Outstanding- I was not aware of that. Would you have to have a CDL licensed driver to pick it up for you?

    Hydraulic Brakes

What is the biggest truck you can run without having air brakes? I want a class B, CDL but do not have a truck to take the test in. I was told I could rent a U- Haul type to use for it, but would not have the air brake endorsement.

    Isuzu truck info

Are there any national companies that will allow you to use an Isuzu type box truck? either a 14, 16, or 22 foot? I know where a great deal is on some, but did not know if it could be used since it did not have a sleeper, but then again neither do some cargo vans! Thanks for your input.
