    Eagle Eye

In a FedEx only thread, IRT wrote: "I realy enjoy using the Eagle Eye system to look at live views of where I am picking up at and where Im delivering too. so I can see what Im up against." I think I might like to upgrade to the Eagle Eye system but I am not sure exactly what it is. At...

EO Nation - What's up tonight?

Neither. I'm home. Did the snow thing yesterday, no sign of the sun. 8" of heavy wet snow. My daughter and her husband were here for dinner. I grilled steak and chicken breasts. Both bi-products of corn fed animals. Bought a Butterball turkey at Costco today for .99/pound. I'm number 2...

    Have You Ever Been "Drafted"??

The reason Sprinters come with in the cab headlight adjustment is because when loaded with a 1000 pounds or more the assend drops causing the headlights to blind aircraft pilots. (insert smiley face here). Fords should also come with a remote headlight adjustment.

    Darn gas prices

So we pay a little more for food but more than make up for it with huge savings at the gas pumps. OPEC can stuff it! We got corn! Lots of corn! By January gas will be under a buck a gallon.

    Darn gas prices

Gas prices? What about the price of turkeys? My local grocery chain was selling Butterball turkeys for $1.59/pound. Outrageous! I live in the number 1 turkey producing state in the country. I have never paid over a $1.00/pound for a turkey unless if was stuffed, cooked and served to me by a...

    Another Noob with Questions

The definitions of hotshotting and expediting have broadened and even become similar over the years. I often hear the term hotshot in relation to airfreight. This is usually freight that needs to be delivered as soon as it hits the ground which means it can't wait to be loaded on a route...

Drop in Freight the past couple of weeks??

Not me. Panther has been running my butt off the last couple of weeks. Got a 600+ mile load that brought me within 90 miles of home last night. Slept in this morning and then restocked my van, changed the oil and greased the front end. I figured being #2, on a Friday and a 4 a day board, that...

    Tandem Axles or NOT?????????

I've got to disagree with you on this one Sunshine State Boy. I saw a similar statement like this when I first joined E.O. and didn't respond because I was a newbie and the poster wasn't. Also I'm just an ignorant van O/O. I should have challenged him then, but didn't, so now I'm picking on...

    Chevy 2007 transmission

When your mechanic drops the pan, replaces the filter, scrapes and cleans gasket remains, installs a new gasket, has a smoke and a cup of coffee my guess is that 85% to 90% of the transmission fluid has drained.
