    First out and what ever

Every time I juggle bowling balls I get hurt. I quit juggling bowling balls but still get hurt on occasion, but never in Laredo.

Linda, I just watched the video. If you can do that in that big ol truck, a short wheelbase daycab should be a drive in the park for you!

Morgan Freeman on black history month and racism

People like Spike Lee, Spike Moss, Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan, etc. must continue to stoke the fires of racism or they would be out of a job. Uncle Toms like Cosby and Freemen make for great fuel.

    Truck Driving Championships

Cool! Large terminal, been there many times, follow the yellow line! If a cargo van category was offered and if Panther was an ATA member, I would probably enter and take it more seriously. Wow, I must be getting more competitive in my old age and feel the need to prove myself. Have I got...

    gas

Yeah it is. I figured a general type question called for a general type answer. 15 mpg should be a conservative figure to base the performance of a cargo van (Ford, GM). Sure there are extremes but I think 15 mpg is a good working number.

    Truck Driving Championships

I agree! I had fun and the practice and participation made me a better driver. I am not a competitive person by nature and I don't take much in life seriously other than family. I got talked into this competition for the good of the company and to fill out a full team. A colleague had...

    An open letter to Petro

I'm not sure what the attached picture has to do with this thread, except that it is food related. They say, who ever "they" are that a picture is worth a thousand words. My son and I returned a few hours ago from a foray to White Castle where he shot this picture with his phone.

How has this affected Custom Critical?

    gas

It all depends on how and where you drive. If you keep it under 65 mph, don't idle and don't have a heavy foot off the line then 15 mpg would be a conservative estimate to work with. 1300 miles divided by 15 mpg equals 86.66 gallons.

Running East Coast to West Coast?

That's why I change oil every 3,000 miles with the recommended 10w-30. For the past year I have been using Valvoline Max Life, a synthetic blend. The car is a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.0 V-6 with 175,000 miles. Chrysler has a long list of severe driving conditions that warrant a 3,000 mile...

Running East Coast to West Coast?

Depends on how the vehicle is used. My wife drives 7 miles to work and usually comes home for lunch. That's 28 miles a day. A 7 mile trip barely gets the engine up to operating temperature in the winter. The oil in that car gets changed every 3000 miles or less. My van I average about 6000...

FedEx Freight Rolls Out Streamlined Operations

Read the article. This really isn't about you! While Custom Critical is a force in the expedite market, in the grand corporate FedEx scheme of things your division is but a pimple on a flea's rear end. Probably not even a pimple because a pimple would cause irritation and get noticed! Check...

FedEx Freight Rolls Out Streamlined Operations

No it is not up in the air. It is on the ground. LTL freight transported by truck and rail. Did you read the article? Full story here This is not about Custom Critical. What FedEx is offering their LTL customers is what other major LTL carriers have been offering for years. Same with...

    New PC civility, democrat style

Leo, the picture of what the linked article eludes to as the crosshairs of a rifle scope- . . are actually a printers register mark. . . Notice the similarities. I can't explain how the register mark got overlayed on the letters G O P, but these things do happen. I'm sure the DCCC will...

FedEx Freight Rolls Out Streamlined Operations

Not really all that interesting considering the fact that most large LTL carriers have been offering standard and premium service for years. The only difference is the name attached to the service. Estes' premium service is called Gold Medal something or other. Vitran calls theirs Guaranteed...
