I ran Canadian Loads all last spring/summer. Was bouncing back from Toronto to Chicago all day long. Not sure if I will do that this year... looking like a insurance payoff might not be that bad as slow as it is.... stay small and wait for business to pick back up.

Well I'm a small operation, two 2006 Sprinters. One I drive part time and the other one is leased on to Panther that was involved in a accident this morning. My driver who I've had for almost 6 months rear ended a semi today early this morning. Still waiting to hear from the safety dept...

Vancouver is about 100 miles from where I'm at.

Had a offer going into BC today but over bid it, I'm hear most of the loads go back down to CA from up here.

Finally got out on Sunday with a load into BC! Hanging out in Seattle with Sprinter. You guys must think I'm insane for coming up here in a Cargo Van :rolleyes: Weather is quite nice and so is the scenery.

Did you make to a million miles yet on your sprinter, I though you would be retired by now :) I heard load one drivers are making $1.10 a mile? Ceva paying $1.24.... hmmmm

I'll be here all this coming week! Would prefer to get out Tuesday or Wednesday but the 8th will work for me. LA is the busiest city for freight on the West Coast although I heard there was a sprinter load going from Fremont to NC yesterday, wish I was closer :) On 4/22 there were 4+ 1000+ mile...

I heard some customers were lost recently. Maybe they are hoping to gain a few back with the transformation.

It is friday, do you want to run low and get a load or sleep in the sprinter for next 5 days?! Not same amenities as a $150K CLASS A. I'm near the beach now trying to beat the heat guess you couldn't do that in a Straight :)

It's not me here it is my carrier, how many times have I mentioned I'm on with a carrier that doesn't charge QC fees or have forced dispatch, for now it works but after 30 days I'm looking into running for someone else. The rates are low because vans are flooding the market, you have no idea who...

Just to show you how low rates are $1850 wouldn't take a 2200 mile run today out of LA. My second bid was 1700 but it was too late by the time carrier called back customer.. Only going to run 30 more days at these rates then will look for a higher rate. ;) yeee haw

I run with a carrier that I'll be done with here in short time... they should call themselves bid board express. ;)

If you're thinking of coming this way. I wouldn't advise it. Been stuck for weeks.

I wish mercedes would invent a jumbo sprinter that could get 20-25 mpg and be able to haul 5-7k lbs 6-12 skids :) That would suck for straights though... it will never happen though one of these will work...

Expediting must be coming to a concluding point for vans... who will make it, who will give up and go home ? May awaits... this month will certainly determine much more. :)
