I also run a 3500 chevy C/Van and I to agree with you 100%. When you carry hazardous it's a sign saying," okay cops, come and get me."

    Question about load weight.

I think your right, but there maybe a little confusion between GVWR and Towing, not to open another can of worms. As for me I'm just going to tag my truck for the GVW of the placard on the truck, that way the policeman won't say "STICK'M UP AND SPREAD'M BOY".

    Question about load weight.

Yes safe and legal. If you modify a C/V or anything else to haul more weight you are doing it on your own. You cannot legally raise the GVW that the manufacturer puts on the vehicle. If you get into a wreck and you are loaded over the vehicles GVW you are liable, period. You will be charged...

    Van or S/T?

I just saw the water hose you were talking about. I'll have to check that out. That is a good idea, especially since I have one. It was given to me by a friend in the appliance business. Are you in a regular van or a Sprinter?

I have a roll around a/c in my old shop, the only problem is the water. I will have to find out how big it is. It does cool though. That bubble wrap does it help? I am thinking just to go ahead and have it sprayed. Can get it done in Ft. Wayne, In for about $400. It's 1 inch thick all the...

    Van or S/T?

You don't have any pictures of the vented unit do you? I have seen some vans with those vents but did not know what they were to. I thought they were vents for heating units. I have seen the door window thing as well. I will probably have to spray foam insulate as well, the fiberglass...

    Fax from in the truck

There is a fax program for your computer that works well. It sends and receives. You can buy a portable scanner that will scan your documents to your computer then fax from there. I don't remember the program name. I know how long it would take to get an ROI from it, but it would be another...

I think that's what started the problem about C/V parking in the Flying J lot's last year. Your 100% right about some operators, IT'S ALL ABOUT ME. It's a new world we live in. Wasn't to many years ago Trucking was an honorable profession.

    Van or S/T?

The key word I think is Motorhome. They build those chassis for that industry. You see Swifty Swift loaded with them all the time.
