    Ohio up the. Speed limit

Although I drive a little faster, I'm super careful not to allow uphill downshifts and certainly NO quick accelerations. I'm also now a firm believer in Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant. I'm pretty sure I gained at least 1.5 MPG when I started using it. But I only use about 1/2 the recommended amount.

    Ohio up the. Speed limit

Cool. Didn't know that!! Makes sense as to why, when heading to TX, I "gain" a little more time on the ETA. Also explains why I gain less on it than I used to.

My Garmin seemed to use about a 70 mph average between Dayton and Toledo. Maybe 68. But I'll still top out about 72-73 I think. I tried 65 but I just can't stay that low. My mpg is up about 17.5 at 72-73 on the cruise. I can live with that for now.

    Ram's new cargo van...

Yeah, it's not like they're going to be made of titanium. I used to break them apart (bad ones) and the "balls" in them were great for sling shots.

    Ram's new cargo van...

I would think CV (constant velocity) joints would have to be made to heavier standards in this application. But it's not like they need to be 10 times as strong. But I imagine they wear out a lot faster than the CV joints on your sisters Honda Civic she drove in college!!

    Straight Truck Sleeper

I had a driver do this about 6-8 years ago. Be sure to factor in the escape hatch in the side of the box. I think he said there's some reg out there requiring it. But he may have made that detail up. I can't remember what he used to seal between them but the box and can flex on the frame at...

    My bad day!

Yeah, I was truly fortunate. It was a good lesson for me to not ONLY rely on gauges and actually turn down the radio on occasion!!!

    My bad day!

Strange thought.......... I figure the laws of physics would probably make this impossible, but would a power inverter running a battery charger on a low setting (like 2-5 amps) keep a van running? Or maybe keep it running a bit longer than with battery alone? It sounds unorthodox but...
