    DHPL Pay taken away

Exactly. And I'm sorry. An offer is an offer. If they offer it wrong, they should pay it. They don't understand that these little $160 deals go through your head time after time in a 12 hour shift. It will cost them more than $160 sometime in the future. It's just human nature. I work...

    Tval- br units, help please?

You can't charge a dry shipper a BR rate. There will be cases where you could say all we have is a BR, if you're willing to pay his rate. Sometimes it will work. Often times not. It's much easier to get O/O's than it is to get customers. The only way I would buy a BR would be if I lived near...

    DHPL Pay taken away

That happened to me two Januaries ago in an owner's truck. We delivered Orlando and were offered Savannah Ga as a layover option. I didn't like Orlando ( many trucks there) or Savannah (too far to go on a fishing expedition ) I consulted the owner, he pays fuel, and was told to do whatever I...

A Lot of New Straight Trucks

Dry box. No. Load heavier to the rear. Reefer. Few would spend the $$$. I suspect that most str8's have 12,12.3, or 12.5.

We have our Own Toy & Need Advice on Good Company to Drive for!

Sadly, there is a learning curve. And Luck. The best thing you do is offer as many things as you can to a carrier, haz-mat, liftgate, Canada, etc. Keep the truck and yourselves in shape to always be ready to go. With any company there will be good weeks and bad weeks. That's the nature...

I would think moving the APU back a lot would gain you 150-175 lbs at most.

A Lot of New Straight Trucks

14 plus axles were common on class 8 trucks a few years back. I'm under 14 on my truck. And I imagine the 20,000 axle weighs quite a bit.

A Lot of New Straight Trucks

Why ? You have a better chance of getting a proper front axle on an used class 8 tractor than you do on a new expeditor. Also, almost no enforcement on front axle weight.

It's done fairly often. No different than upfitting any other class 8.

I'd suggest a Carrier Roast instead. It'd be less personal. Wife: Honey, do you know what time it is ? A driver here needs to know. Husband : Who does he drive for ? Wife; Why does that matter ? Husband : Well if he drives for FedEx tell him it's 3:50 or 10 to 4. If he drives for...

    Looks interesting

I didn't mean to sidetrack the topic. I carry 300 gallons of fuel. I wouldn't want to be sitting over 300 gallons of gas. Although you probably wouldn't burn worse than if a hundred gallon tank of gas blew up.
