I live on 'em when I'm on the road. Closest thing to healthy that you'll find in 90% of the truckstops.

But, that's kinda my point. If the pay quoted earlier is correct, the driver is being paid well enough. If Ablair wants to put cheap freight on the van and keep me running good miles at a good driver pay...not a problem for me (if I were the driver...only).

Guido makes a lot bigger point here than most of us realize. The condition, at it's worst, is called "Deep Vein Thrombosis". I've known 2 or 3 drivers who had it. It ain't pretty....at all. For drivers, it's mostly caused by not getting out of the seat for long periods of time. The driver's...

I didn't see anybody asking for a 10 hr break. That's just a jab at me since I used to drive a straight truck and don't mind challenging this holier than thou position that your taking on the subject. Chris was asking about the transit times getting shorter. I have no idea of what his actual...

I didn't consider the deadhead, but your right. It would eat into that, although I remember Ablair claiming very little deadhead...I guess they all do that though? A lot of company drivers are not allowed to turn down loads. The flatbed co. I drove for, that was one of the first things they...

Thanks....I had never saw one of those and was worried that I might be overlooking something. Yes, your correct, I would be using the aux battery only for the auxillary DC loads. In fact, at some point, I want every auxillary DC draw to come from the aux battery (radio, QC, Sirius, etc, etc)...
