You don't have to go back to the '40's to find customer service at gas stations. I had to check oil, fill tanks, wash windows, fill tires, etc and that was in late '69 and early '70.

At lot would depend on the straight truck. $1.20 per mile would put my TVAL truck out of business. If I had a smaller, single axle, no lift gate truck it might be ok.

There seems to be a few, possibly newer, dispatchers that are a bit on the lazy side. We find them mainly in surface but there are a couple in White Glove. It is bad when drivers have to explain to dispatchers how loads need to be handled.

Yeah, one of the FedEx drivers during Gustov did NOT come into the shelter when the storm hit. He had a 2x4 come right through his sleeper wall and just missed his head!! He did not get as much damage to his truck as we did but we did not come as close to being dead as he did!!
