It's not how much you make, etc, etc.

Then there is the folks that shoot themselves in the foot and drive 60 miles to a truck stop, stead of parking under a tree, and, then driving 65 miles back to a pick up, then, wonder why they don't get to keep too much.

    Refer truck

Actually, a straight truck is limited to 40 foot in some states. Other states have limits to 60 or 65 foot. 40 foot is a Carrier imposed length limit. There is a difference.

    stupid dispatched deadhead runs

Jeez Hawk, you where with one. Problem is the first one you tried, you wanted to Dead Head 150 miles to pick up a load going to Oklahoma, instead of Dead Heading 8 miles to pick up a load going to New York. That reasoning process requires some questioning i'd say.

    stupid dispatched deadhead runs

No need to apologize, however, you need to understand an armchair dispatcher (quarterback) normally don't have a clue about the dynamics of what really is going on, on site. Your friend may have refused to dh 250 miles to CA, or, after his rest, demanded something happen. Don't know. You...
