Remembering back when I was with LEAM in 2003 you could only contact LEAM agents and were not allowed to take freight, LTL or not from any other agent. How things have changed. Adding that there were only 4o agents then.

Well here we go again. Hugo in 89 and now Irene. Hugo hit us from due east direct blow. Spent 3 wks w/o electricity other than a generator and no water. Worst weeks of my life. Now my two c/vans load close to Charleston and I'm now 100 miles west so we will see. Hopefully I can get them...

About the training I don't know as stated previously. Getting a truck and other things was taken from one of they're advertisements that I saw. There is just a lot of confusion about what exactly they do for the operator. A lot of positive things have been said but it still is somewhat foggy...

I don't know. That's what I was refering to some time back about trying to figure out what they are doing. I hear they train drivers or help them get their first truck with low down stroke. They do their bookkeeping, they dispatch them some how through a carrier and other stuff but don't know...

When I was with L/Star a couple of brokers did it regularly and paid for each load. It's a matter of getting two loads to the same area and make a delivery on time. It also requires a dispatcher who can think outside the box.;)
