Fedx considering option of a flat rate for strt and tt

Why would a team take a load under 650? How about $450 for two blocks? Or, maybe the one that went 3 miles and paid over $2000? OR..................... It is NOT the miles. It is the overall pay package. Time vs. miles, vs. pay and including the "hassle factor". Everything comes into play when...

Fedx considering option of a flat rate for strt and tt

We just recently saw a DSxxxx sprinter in California. That was 3 or 4 months ago. We never did see the driver to talk with them. There is at least on local DRxxxx unit that I know of. He lives near Harrisburg, PA. He works just in that area, NYC, etc. Says he does quite well too. He runs solo...

Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq

We went for breakfast. Yeah, we have a life, small one for sure, but we do have one!! :D

    Please Explain

Strange things do happen to say the least. We too have been "passed over" for loads that according to the "system" we should have be put on them. One in particular comes to mind. We had a less than 75 and was about 25 miles from the pick up. The load was for a Monday and the dispatch was on...

Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq

Good morning to you too you old "pot stirring" person you!! :p It is a very humid heat here. Rain, thunder etc. Does it surprise you that we are in bed with communist nations? I mean, really, Barry is their blood brother!! He believes in their style of total control government. Bet he...

Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq

Iraqi forces? Yeah right. Kurds? Not nearly enough. Iran has AT LEAST 500,000 combat troops. Suicidal? Could be. Unstable without a doubt. It is a nation headed for a train wreck. It is in bed with a nation (Russia) that is trying to return to it's nasty days, you remember, 25 million murdered.

Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq

I think that you are wrong in your assesment. Iran has major internal problems as Greg stated earlier. They will be forced into either murdering untold numbers of their own to control it, OR, extend outward. 50,000 lightly armed troops and a carrier can do little to stop Iran IF they chose to...

    Fool? No. Way too stupid.

I hope that person was some kind of a "plant" to give Michael something to do. I REALLY hope that. I don't want to believe that there are people out there that are really that stupid. Unfortunately I know that there are.

Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq

No one is running around just making "war plans" willy nilly. Recognizing the problems and being prepared in case something happens is prudent. Doing nothing has never worked in the past and will most likely not work in the future. You don't REALLY believe that 50,000 troops in Iraq is enough...

I have no idea what happened. I talked with FDCC about it but without the run number there was nothing they could do. Too bad. I had no reason to right down that load number but I wish I had just to have it looked at.

    Nukes and Iran

I don't know, are we calling Russia an enemy again yet? Are we calling China an enemy again yet? Not that I have heard. What about their ignoring the gas chambers of Nazi Germany? Forget that part?

    Nukes and Iran

To my way of thinking, ANY country that denies the well documented deaths of 12 million plus people should be looked at as a potential enemy. They remind me of Nazi Germany in their early days. Ignore history and.......................... In reality, they said we are their enemy and so is...

    Nukes and Iran

Russia is assisting Iran but they are NOT able to control the Islamic terrorists. Russia has had it's "butt bit" by them already. They will likely regret the day they got "in bed" with them.

Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq

Let us pray that it is not too soon. We did not leave Japan or Germany until things were stable. Things don't look very stable in Iraq right now. My Dad also brought home a 7.7mm but it was in very bad shape. He was in Saigon when he got the first message that the war had ended. He did NOT...

    Nukes and Iran

Iran is staring up it's reactor. It is hard to imagine that the world's nations would allow a country lead by a "nut case" to get this far. I feel that nothing but trouble will come of this. What do you think and WHY? Is the world safer, more dangerous or has there been no change?

Last U.S. combat convoy has left Iraq

According to my doctor at the VA in Ann Arbor, MI, they are not. Their is NOT enough doctors to handle the load. My nephew was unable to get into any kind of program quickly. There was, at the time he applied, a 8-12 month wait there. He has the same doctor there as I do. As always, our...

Re: 22 Statistics That Prove That The Middle Class Is Being Systematically Wiped Out Which fair tax? I don't like the one I read about. That one STILL exempts people from taxes. EVERYONE should pay their share.

I don't know about the "law" stuff but it would be a really good idea to sit in with dispatch and learn what they go through. At least for a couple of days. It always pays to know more.
