    How Many Miles ?

You don't count. * You just did that to confuse the newbies. BTW, that truck would look cool with orange flames. * He's not an expediter. He's a good guy, posts often.

    How Many Miles ?

In another thread an experienced driver told us that 800 mile weeks would be more common than 2500 mile weeks in a $printer. Really ? I'm curious just about volume of miles. Average per week. And vehicle. Example: 2400 miles per week. DR unit.

    I figured 1000 miles @ .40 = $400. 500 miles dh @.20=$100 $500 / 1500 miles = .33 Semantics. 100% dh, where dh = loaded miles is .30. .30 for out and back and no logbooks should work with lots of miles :)

That may or may not be helpful. I had an owner tell me he thought the last team in a particular truck was just looking for a place to live, not necessarily a job. A better indicator is talk to other Tristate drivers like Kickstarter and see what is possible over there.

I put in the 50% dh as a high figure. I've never done Van or Sprinter, but it shows that even with high dh you'll be able to afford to eat.

    California driver need good company

The Reno deal is probably similar. More centrally located, and run by solos. Sacramento would have been a much better domicile in my thinking.,

That's an arguable call. He didn't leave his feet and looked like Backes ducked into it. Sometimes you zig when you should zag.,

50% dh puts you at .33cpm. Less dh,higher pay. If my math is right, this seems higher than I would expect. Good luck.

Sounds pretty decent. That is if owner is paying all fuel, tolls, etc.

    California driver need good company

I think the problem with Reno is if you go So you run 395 . If you run west, as most often is the case, you'll deal with Truckee. I would suspect Reno does Vegas and Phoenix, and Ca, Wa,and Or. Sometimes they get under qualified people. One new hire went to Frt Wrth and decided the truck was...

    Company straight truck

Those are people driving for good fleet owners in reefers. These are gross numbers. The driver's cut. The flat rate is not affecting reefers.. As I'm in a reefer I haven't looked at flat rate. A quick guess is a little less than 10% loss in the pay. This may be made up by more opportunities...

DPF and CARB, mine ST8's time has come.

Like anything, you have to shop. I imagine it'll come down as more people get the equipment. I see a lot of independent shops getting into it. I asked a large Volvo shop and they did not have the equipment. They send it out, so it's a two day job. I've heard as high as $750 and as low as...

You'll get honest answers here. It may not be what you want to hear, but it will be straight up. A good, hard working driver at Fedex, in a reefer straight will make right at $50,000 +/- Run with your better half and be right at $95,000-$105,000 These are common numbers for 22' straight...

The Canyon was the better choice. If you get time in Vegas, you're close to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. A really nice day trip.

It weird that I watched the Lucic video only hours after watching the Quenneville video. One had $25,000 fine. The other a $5,000 fine. Crazy.

Very few employees in expediting. Mostly independent contractors. You go to work for a fleet that treats you like an employee, sometimes, but they tell you you're independent to shift the tax burden on you. Bottom line: no company paid benefits. You pay both halves of the Social Security (...
