Wait a minute!! That doesn't work does it? I can't clamp BOTH wires in a cord to get accurate amps, can I? Doesn't power flow thru? Like out and back?

Ok, electricians...... I don't know how to read the meter I got. Generator running. Heater on high. Heated mattress pad on high. Meter set on the "~40A" scale. Shows "0.09". Anyone have a clue how many amps that is? Or how to decipher it?
