Heads up for DD13 short hood Cascadias We were called by our dealer today to check for wear on the AC lines from the condenser to the compressor. The hood cable has been found to rub through the lines when the hood is closed right at the condenser. Bob put a length of heater hose over...

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

No this in not about Joe it about any contractor who is upset over a policy change with any company. When I am talking to or listening to a contractor who is upset with any company I take their information with a grain of salt. I heard this letter went out to WG contractors and that most...

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

Awesome Greg when our business plan does not work with FedEx's business plan it would be time to move on. That would not make the company a bad company.

    headset (bluetooth)

Well I as well look like a dork as I am not going to hang up when talking with someone and put on my ear bud. I am also reluctant to spend the money on another ear bud headset and not be able to hear or have people not hear me. We are using the Siverado (I think that is the name) right now...

    Re: Going Broke

Greg I have heard of people doing exactly what you describe. Turn down a load over FCS when the load pays more than enough to pay for fuel. I find it much easier to update my cost to run per mile as fuel prices change than to break it out.

    Re: Going Broke

No the bottom line is what does the load pay and what are the miles. Fuel is included in my expenses for what we need per mile to run.

    Re: Going Broke

Thank you OVM as a fellow moderator for being so quick to throw my under the bus with out knowing any facts. I see that Joe was quick to follow suit and seemed to have forgotten that we are in a dry box. We were surface and had been on the WG list for years and when Molly passed away we were...

Max weight loaded on a "C" truck?

The truck needs to be weighed with personal and cargo related gear, full tanks and two drivers on a scale, that weight subtracted from GVWR will indicate the capacity. When he brings that scale ticket to orientation, they will use the capacity as his available weight in the computer unless he...

Max weight loaded on a "C" truck?

What is the truck registered to carry? A heavier load may be placed on a D, C, or B vehicle if they are registered to carry more weight. If your truck is legal to carry more weight you can call in and have this changed by your CC. It can help you to get loads at times. This is the...

    On the Road Recipes

I am a little slow learning the convection oven as I have such a habit of getting out my rice cooker! Someone gave me the tip of using parchment paper on the pan in the bottom to catch drippings if I use the grill which works very nice as I did grill a couple turkey breasts. (I found I could...
