Sprinter van, I am so confused!

If someone gets a new Sprinter the fuel economy advantage is gone. I know of another case where a Sprinter was down an unreasonable amount of time due to a part not being available, and have heard stories of others. It's just unacceptable to have to deal with something like that when you've laid...

    american diesel vanners

The numbers on my 7.3 were the same as Dreamers. The best I ever got was 23, the worst would be somewhere around 16 or 17. I found as speed increased wind and weight would have a greater effect. I've talked to guys that swore up and down that speed, weight and wind had no effect on their vans. I...

    Getting a CDL Class C.

In the past, a DOT physical wasn't required to get a license, but it is required to actually work. That's changing. It will be required to get a license and in the near future will be on file electronically and we won't have to carry a card with us.

    C/V's Dead?

Yeah, that happens. But it could be argued that it's offset by the many times we haul small loads. I'm in Joplin after hauling 3 skids that weighed a total of 1040#. The perfect Sprinter load. C'mon OVM, as a wise man once said, "C-C-Can't we all just get along?" Instead of promoting a...

    Cargo vans and sprinters *ROUNDTABLE*

I agree, a very bizarre response to say the least. There was nothing at all wrong with what OVM had to say. I wonder when the U2 video links will appear? LOL....

    C/V's Dead?

LOL!!... Why would I see you as direct competition? You must talk to different drivers than I do. I hauled 20 full size skids last night. Friday I had 1 skid @ 350#. It paid my rate for all miles, deadhead and loaded. How can you be direct competition when my load opportunities are so much...

Need to find a post by Turtle-

I think Turtle's main message is to stick to "the list" when it comes to fluids. For example, the coolant is very expensive, but if go cheap it's gonna cost you in the long run.

Expediter Hall of Fame Voting and awards.

That's not true. There's freight that's been run in an "expedited" fashion for many, many years. It just wasn't identified as a segment of the industry. Now that it is, some folks doing it want to feel special. Got'cha beat by a year, I started in '76.
