Don't think so. The problem with this freight was, there was 17 boxes stacked on top of each other with nothing to hold them together, I strapped 2 straps around it and still about 8-9 boxes fell off. It should be okay, not much I could have done.
Pretty sure the guy fell asleep at the wheel or was drunk (cop didn't seem to think so but I could smell alcohol on his breath when I got out to see if he was okay). I saw coming in my rear view mirror and before I could react I was pretty much all over the highway. Almost hit the concrete...
Ive been to Laredo only once and when I was there I only had time to sleep like 5 hours and I got a load out. Was pretty lucky that time. Let's hope I get out of San Antonio that quickly.
I'm in a sprinter and I'm considering doing local runs in Metro Atlanta(and surrounding states within like 300 mile radius). I'm just not so sure what companies to look for, and where to find them. If you do local runs, do you enjoy it more than when you were OTR? What do you dislike about it...
