The flat rate at FedEx is for a basic surface expedite truck. We get more for pallet jack, lift gate, HAZMAT, IAC, driver protective service, WG, DoD, etc. There are no WG trucks running flat rate (as far as I know) so a comparison can not be made to your trucks running Elite. Since going on...

But DAve, you have a higher rate than Panther is offering to new contractors. At $1.49 per loaded mile (the current offered rate) the total pay would only be $656. Which would only be $1.19 all miles.

What works for us on flat rate may not work for others. We hate to sit. Our goal is to run our miles to make the income we desire and spend our time sitting at home enjoying the other side of our lives.

If your load cancelled you should be on dry run status. You move to the top of the board regardless of dwell time or if there are others on <75. The only ones ahead of you would be someone who also had a dry run before you. If you are not on dry run status call a dispatcher and find out why.

T/A or Petro average 9.5. Flying/Pilot average 9.1. Howes Meaner Cleaner adds about .5 MPG to both. And my fuel filter stays cleaner with T/A fuel.

With over 1400 trucks in the fleet I don't see how an owner with 80 trucks would be able to demand preferential treatment at the Fed. We worked for that owner and I can tell you we never got any preferential treatment.

We did 6 loads in 3 weeks. Got hung up in CA for 4 days. Our average would have been 2222 per run, but we did an 85 mile run while we were in CA so that brought the average down to 1866.

Our average run was 1866 miles last month. We did one 85 mile load that knocked the number down below 2200.

But I am on flat rate and DH pays the same as loaded.
