We also carry a "winter survival kit" in our truck. It has LOTS of "goodies". We have 3 days each worth of freeze dried foods. JUST in case we get REALLY stuck and run out of supplies. We have a hatchet. A folding wood saw. Fire starting stuff. Extra socks, boots, etc. Signal devices, mirrors...

We use Wal-Mart and deal with it. It IS a pain. For mine I am on the 90 day thing, they come in the mail. I plan truck work, doctor visits etc around that. We TRY to have Mrs. Layoutshooters on the same time. Works out MOST of the time.
