    Newbie Nissan NV3500

My only thought is, if you can't wade thru that website, you probably aren't interested enough in this business. Even those that are, some are finding it tough right now

    Cargo or Nissan van?

You'd make a great straight man, Moot Taking it as a real question I'd say the last option - no van - has been left out, and with rising minimum wage its a valid option. If it's a must, Nissan of course. They last forever. Both choices limit loads, but Nissan at least has a high roof. Unless...

Finally fixed my Black death Sprinter

Truth be told, I think this started a very long time ago. Checked under the cover in 2017 maybe? This is what it looked like after a good soaking with oven cleaner Better, right? So, first I cleaned as much crud as possible with a pick, blowing it out with a can of compressed...

May Be Loads 4 You & Banter

Fixed it. Took 5 hours, afaik onky 1 cylinder black death. I'll post my exploits later in truck talk, got some cool chinese tools that made things go smooth.

Ok it’s that time again. Which van to buy?

Which is 14' inside right? Same as the "extended" from ram or ford... Canada sucks for new vehicles. Was looking at a transit with a 16' box, diesel...$784 a month for 60 months with $5000 down, and you don't even get to keep it. Lease

Anyone running a Westinghouse iGen2200 or New Yamaha EF2200iS?

When did the Westinghouse come out? Look on amazon type sites for user reviews, try and get a sense of the failure rate / longevity Personally I think Yamaha would be a close second to Honda, meaning longest life

    Loads going cheap lately?

Aren't the well off well off simply because they decide they deserve it?

    Loads going cheap lately?

Even last year I didn't have to look at rates or cost per mile. I just said yes or no depending on what I was up to, because I knew whatever the price was, was higher than I needed This year? :dead:

We should all compare notes in 5 years and see what happens to everyone's pet strategies. :p

    Loads going cheap lately?

Maybe I'm unique, but refusing a low dollar run most times gets a higher $$ callback later... I used to do a run for fuel money, just so I didn't have to deadhead. Home 12 hours later. It was a happy day when I stopped Remember Morse Tool, Ken?

    Loads going cheap lately?

If the salary isn't in your cost per mile what's your lowest bid? For me it would look very different with salary out. My van is paid for and averages 22 mpg loaded, I could undercut even the "eastern europeans" lol (why ppl think eastern europeans are to blame I dunno, but its kinda funny,)

I want half. I'm greedy :p That rule of thirds is great, assuming you aren't bidding 60c a mile and driving a small straight

May Be Loads 4 You & Banter

I actually got a load offer yesterday and today both from my main company. Loads going cheap lately?

I know I'm different that way, but after this many years, it seems I'm always chasing the bills instead of being ahead of them if I don't. When it slows down like now. You're also stuck with a payment if you decide to leave the business This causes most people to work for the truck and forget...

    Loads going cheap lately?

Food for thought. If this surprises you, you likely aren't including something in your own cost per mile, whether it be salary or maybe vehicle replacement...the only ones that don't have to worry about the vehicle cost are those with a paid for truck on the cusp of retirement...
