Couldn't have said it better, FlyingVan! Incidentally I've been playing with KeepTruckin for HOS. I've dropped my idea of moving up in size of truck. Waiting 3 hours to get loaded (like today) won't get any better (likely worse) and I need to be able to get home in an emergency situation. It...

So much for avoiding inspection. When translated, I'm heading to the "arsenal " or "armory" Directly into the building where what looks like 40 police cars are waiting

TIL my company is authorized to carry explosives and firearms. I might be updating my vehicle. It's becoming a full time side job to maintain standards. And if I was an inspector, I'd be giving my vintage sprinter the once over...

    Insurance

Nobody will be saving on commercial insurance. Thank a trucker. The amount of high profile accidents going on over the past year or two is insane. I've been following on youtube and trucking websites. While entertaining to watch as a youtube video, the real human costs and accompanying...

That's my experience, the AOC (aircraft on ground) means don't go sightseeing until unloaded, but the rates are fine My 2 weeks pay came in, back to making my entire sprinter purchase price every month (paid 2900 US april 2016) No its not busy, I just had 3 very good runs

    Newbie Nissan NV3500

If you're willing to hit the bricks and find your own shippers, totally different ballgame. I don't know if I've ever met an expediter that did that, they all try and get rich off the "load boards"

I lived. Hazmat was well packaged in a large crate. Hazmat was not however at a location with a ramp. I steered the front of a 1600 lb skid and had to lift it off my wheelwell when it got stuck. Then proceeded to sleep for 15 hours after I got home and unwound with some youtube hazmat videos...

That's the federal minimum. Broker minimum, and load boards is 1 million and 100,000 cargo (or they won't pick you) I have 3 million canadian $$ and the cargo insurance is supplied by my carrier as I carry up to 2 million in aviation parts

Sounds like you have at least some idea what's going on. A google search will find a myriad of companies that will take care of the BOC-3, pick one with the features you like. I'd lean toward a yearly membership and not a one time fee, it is possible someone will notify you someday with...

One of my years bigger cheques coming (off 3 deliveries :p) Vermont was pretty. Although I spent an hour and 20 minutes there. Kid was happy, I made it back early. Found out my particular sprinter is limited to 79 actual mph, or 127 kph (:tongueclosed:) no wonder my mileage is good...

Forgot about daughter's friends birthday party tomorrow. Fortunately the 401 fast lane matches my sprinter's rev limiter most of the time. So much for 55 mph... (443 miles away with 8 hours, but they haven't bought the present yet) Edit: whew never mind. House is 1 hour closer than pickup...
