Freightliner dealer in Fontana, CA, has a big loop behind the parts counter with a lot of different pigtails on it. I bet if you call now, you can get a parts guy's e-mail to show, or he can just yank a b/m off the shelf and match the pigtail for you. I'll forewarn you-the parts counter there...

The part number you listed is a Horton fan clutch, and yes, it is obsolete. I found a new one, though, on find it parts.com for $989. I don't think you're getting hosed at all. Welcome to the wonderful world of freightliner.
