2 dead, 1 hurt in fiery wreck on I-75 near Tipp City

Went through there last night. Detour took a while. There was also a somewhat related crash on the northbound side.....minivan rear ended a semitrailer just before the closure. Her dashboard was just under his ICC bumper. Both were fine, standing under bridge next to crash, but the truck driver...

What load made you scratch your head?

Did Houston to St. Johns last October. I agree... should be on everyone's must-do list. Ferry ride over was lovely. Ride back sucked out loud. Real choppy seas, and the dogs were not thrilled they had to stay in the truck in the ship's belly. When was the last time the little boat showed up on...

Obama asks church leaders to encourage people to sign up for "Obamacare"

Not guessing. Got to be cheaper than no coverage.

Obama asks church leaders to encourage people to sign up for "Obamacare"

These posts (yours and Paullud's) puzzle me. Is BCBS really that unaffordable in Ohio? I get Paul's....he's a New Yorker, but Ohio? My portion of my BCBS policy, before I opted for my VA coverage, was 200 and change per month. Is it that outrageous in OH? If so, i would think you would be...

Gang-related Thrill Killing in Duncan, OK

That's an article? While I concede that I may have been stoned for the better part of high school English, this piece looks mostly like opinion. Isn't "article" supposed to be facts, and not copious slatherings of opinion?

    California Scales and prepass

That's only partly true. Clean inspections wipe away some of the carrier's score, but not in every BASIC. For the purpose of this thread, clean inspections will (albeit slowly), drive down the two BASICs that earned us the 100% pull-in for Prepass.

    California Scales and prepass

Huh? Someone pass the decoder, por favor. If my IRT-ese is right, you're referring to something about FedEx doubles. That has zero to do with FDCC-leased trucks and this topic.

    California Scales and prepass

Because of FDCC's CSA-ISS score. Didn't you get the letter from Prepass? The two-year figure I quoted above was not random. It's going to take that long for us to be under California's threshold for 100% pull-ins.

    Beat them to death

And thankfully, that day won't be in front of two nitwits from Texas with a bible in one hand and a gun in the other.

    The 51st state

Kind of funny when that whole 'democracy' thing that folks espouse doesn't work in their favor 100% of the time.

August locations.... Here come the dog days

Simple. Either stop taking loads to Laredo, or build enough into your run there to be able to run back empty to a productive spot.

    On the road Recipes...

Baked haddock, acorn squash with butter and brown sugar, and what I call a salad that i believe was designed as a salsa: diced mango, tomatoes, green onion, and red bell pepper. Sounds like they don't belong together, but oh man, they do. Previous two items baked in a Nu-wave oven. My belly...
